Why Use an Insurance Broker?

Why Use A BrokerThere is a very simply answer to the question, ‘why use a broker?’ And the simple answer is because it makes life easier.

Insurance is a complex beast. Take your car insurance for example. Once you get on the phone to an insurance company, they want to know all the details of the car, its history, all details about you and your history.

Each time you contact an insurance company, you have to explain these details again and again. Why use a broker? If you use a broker, you only have to explain those details once and it is their job to come back to you with the best policy.

Also bear in mind that there are lots of insurance companies out there and policies vary from company to company. A qualified insurance broker will be aware of many companies and their individual policies.  An insurance broker will know in an instant which companies are best suited to your needs. Need another reason to use a broker?

Here’s one. A broker works for you. They are value-hunters who look after your pocketbook in finding the best combination of price, coverage and service.  And they work with you when you have a claim.  It is in the broker’s best interest to provide you with superior customer satisfaction – it’s the key to their livelihood.

Also most people have many insurance needs including home, car, recreational vehicles, rental properties and business.  A broker can help you with all of these needs.  They are not limited to just the easy ones.  Have you ever called the agent that insures your home and cars with another insurance need only to find out they don’t do that?  Now you have to start searching for an agent that will.  A broker never needs to tell a client that they can’t offer a needed policy.
